Standard Operating Procedures
Ascent Aeronautical Academy has developed Standard Operating Procedures which allow our staff to uphold the highest level of safety and best practices. All aspects of our company are considered in this document and we regularly review the needs of our operation and adjust accordingly. Our Standard Operating Procedures let us provide a level of structure and consistency unparalleled by others while still maintaining transparency with our clients on day to day practices.
Safety Management System
Always striving to stay ahead of the industry, Ascent Aeronautical Academy has identified the Safety Management System as the next tool the Federal Aviation Administration will use to identify safe operations. Our Safety Management System has been developed by experts in the field of safety and allows us to foster a company wide culture focused on safety. Each team member is required to accomplish safety training as a part of our indoctrination process with special emphasis on our Safety Management System.
Hazard Assessment and Correction
No operation will ever be able to eliminate hazards, but through our Safety Management System, we have developed a hazard register and regularly audit our company’s operations to best identify potential hazards. However, at Ascent Aeronautical Academy we don’t stop there. Whether it be as simple as a leaking pipe that has led to a slip hazard, or as complex as an error chain in communication, we have designed our hazard identification program around a culture of non-punitive reporting and attitude that strives for nothing less than the highest level of safety.
Continued and Advanced Pilot Training
Each of our employees is automatically enrolled in our Employee Training Program that covers all aspects of our operation. Ascent Aeronautical Academy strives to provide our team members with the highest level of training so they can in return provide that to our customers. Quarterly training flights, annual currency checkouts, and advanced flight training are a few of the ways we help standardize our pilots and keep them up to date with the best teaching techniques
Quality Assurance Programs
Considering our operations extend beyond flight training, Ascent Aeronautical Academy has developed quality assurance programs for each of our lines of business and operations. These programs allow regular auditing and reporting on what’s working, and what’s not. Our upper management team uses these programs to ensure each type of operation is functioning as safely, and efficiently as possible.
